Recycled Piggy Bank
So i got this idea from somewhere but i couldn't tell you where i just don't remember sorry. Obviously it is made from a recycled bottle. One of those overly big water bottles. Not the 2 liter but one smaller than that. Anyway, i had to use the pink paint that would stick to plastic. I was only able to find it in pink at our local home depot. I put the bottle on a dalrod that i stuck in the ground that way i could paint all sides of it. The legs were made out of a t.p. roll and and tail out of a pipe cleaner. I made ears out of the notches that i cut out of the feet. Be very careful when you go to cut the slot out of the top. Some of the paint came off in the process and it had to be repainted. Don't forget googly eyes :)
DIY Card
So I had decided to try to make my first card with my new cricket and this is how it turned out!
I cut and folded a piece of scrapbook paper making sure the white was on the outside and then i put a smaller square on the front and cut two hearts decorating one with glitter(glitter makes every thing better).
For the inside!
First i glued a white square down to the decorative paper so you would be able to see my message. Next I stamped some flowers in corners and then I glued the wording which i made with cricket. Then finished off with message and signature. It wanted to warp where the glue was so i would suggest putting it in a book until completely dry.
Crafted Coupon
So I just got a cricket and i had decided to make some coupons that people would want to hang on to and were more likely to use and not throw in the trash can and this is what i came up with. I took a thin piece cardboard box that was located in our house paper recycling bin and glued a piece of scrapbook paper that i just eyeballed into the shape of a tag and glued it to the colorful side of the cardboard box. Next i cut out the tag that was now glued to the box and was ready to decorate. I ripped a piece of pink scrapbook paper and went around the edges with inking(found in craft section for scrapbooking) and then glued to tag. Then decorated with wording glueing letters. Punched a hole in the top of tag and strung ribbon through.
